Northrop Grumman Employees Recognized by Association of Old Crows for Outstanding Contributions to Electronic Warfare

DC, Press Releases, Virginia NorthropGrumman

WASHINGTON – Oct. 16, 2014 – Two Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) employees recently accepted awards from the Association of Old Crows (AOC) for outstanding contributions to the field of electronic warfare (EW).

Ken Collyer, director of rotary wing and unmanned aerial systems EW business development, received the Stanley B. Hall Business Development Award while Dominic DiDomenico, an advisory systems engineer in Northrop Grumman’s non-kinetic system engineering department, received the Clark G. Fiester Research and Development Award. Both accepted the awards during the recent AOC Foundation Celebration of Excellence Awards Ceremony at the 51st Annual AOC International Symposium and Convention.

Collyer is currently engaged in advancing U.S. Navy large aircraft infrared countermeasure programs, serving in a leadership role helping to identify and implement solutions to replace the U.S. Marine Corps Prowler, identifying lower cost, more capable U.S. Army EW solutions and supporting identification of EW payloads for U.S. Air Force unmanned aerial vehicles. His most recent success is supporting the introduction and approval for a new advanced threat warner for the Marine Corps.

The Stanley B. Hall Business Development Award recognizes outstanding performance in leading a government team that gains funding approval for a new EW program or leads an industry team that captures a competitive award of a new EW program.

DiDomenico is credited with successfully leading the development of the Office of Naval Research’s Integrated Topside (InTop) Advanced Development Model (ADM) program. InTop uses a common, modular, open and scalable hardware and software approach to perform EW functions as well as information operations, and also uses line-of-sight communications for shipboard applications.

The Clark G. Fiester Research and Development Award recognizes outstanding achievement in the research and development of new electronic warfare capabilities.

The AOC is a not-for-profit international professional association with more than 13,500 members and more than 180 organizations engaged in the science and practice of electronic warfare, information operations and related disciplines. AOC promotes the exchange of new ideas and information and the dissemination of new research and knowledge in the fields of electronic warfare and information operations.
